Aww, go ahead and loan (snicker) out your serving pieces at a premium price of course. If her friend is "just starting out" then she needs a realistic idea of just what those serving pieces will cost her when she goes into business full time. Just tell her that you have Pro-rated the cost of using them since you have already used them several times and are looking to replace them soon. As a matter of fact, offer to sell them to her at a "discount" and then go get yourself a new set from the proceeds.
