You let her get away with it? You failed to strike a blow for the uninformed? I am disappointed in you! Posted by: Judith Umbria at February 5, 2006 01:49 AM She may be onto something there - potato flavored bubble gum. Chew it along with some nice beef jerkey for a complete meal in a minute! Posted by: B'gina at February 5, 2006 01:59 AM Willy Wonka came up with it first! Posted by: Snooks at February 5, 2006 06:00 AM Yuk. Just yuk. Did you give her your card? Posted by: Sandee at February 5, 2006 07:43 AM I remember when my wedding reception caterer came to me in a panic because one of the oven's didn't work and she didn't know what to do...get these people out of the business girl!!!! Posted by: Shrinking Violet at February 5, 2006 09:16 AM *grin* Did anyone try to blow a bubble. Posted by: Melissa at February 5, 2006 12:12 PM 'Willy Wonka came up with it first!' Snort! Posted by: ei at February 5, 2006 03:08 PM Tell your relative to get a refund - at least a partial. That is just disgusting. Posted by: Dr Alice at February 5, 2006 08:35 PM I have to laugh I have had the exact same experience.. Now if her homemade were that 'good' makes you wonder how she has survived! Posted by: Jen at February 5, 2006 09:58 PM Wow. Just wow. It's fascinating how people who do that kind of thing can stay in business. After all, if you hired her, and let her get away with it, imagine what "the average person (who) doesn't make mashed potatoes from scratch anymore" will do. They're who are keeping her in business, because they "(aren't) even be able to tell the difference." "We food professionals" actually DO know better, since those of us who ARE truly food professionals do NOT "do this all the time." Come ON... please tell us that you told her you're a caterer!!! Posted by: JoAnna at February 6, 2006 11:31 AM Come on - even those of us who AREN'T "food professionals" know better than this. Think of it as job security! Posted by: Khaki at February 6, 2006 02:06 PM Did anyone complain (since it would be too obvious if you complained, seeing as how you already *knew* they weren't the real thing)? Perhaps you should have organised a number of relatives to strategically complain about the mashed potatoes being just a bit odd... :) Posted by: Sarah at February 7, 2006 10:30 AM |
