It could not have been a more perfect moment. There I was sitting on the most lovely porch of the most lovely Inn reveling in the gorgeous sunshine. The air had the most amazing salt smell to it, and I could see sailboats meandering their way through the morning wind. It was so serene - so perfect. I sat down with my cup of coffee and blueberry muffin to revel in the absolute fabulousness of it all. This was the ideal place, I thought. So quiet, so peaceful, so - relaxing. And then I took a bit of the muffin and it crumbled a little, and when I moved to catch it I spilled coffee down the front of my shirt, and smashed a blueberry on my chest. It was about that time The Husband came walking out with the newspaper. He said nothing - just sat in the chair next to me and said, "Isn't it gorgeous here?" And then he quietly and lovingly placed the room key in my hand. Posted by Foodwhore at September 7, 2006 04:07 PM
Boy... I'd have done the same thing. I always manage to ruin the best moments as I happen to be the clutziest person on earth. Posted by: Leslie at September 8, 2006 11:22 AM Oh, well. That's the way the muffin crumbles... Tootles, PS The Hubby is so charming.... Posted by: Anni at September 8, 2006 01:58 PM That's a good man you have there ;) Posted by: HomefrontSix at September 8, 2006 02:27 PM I cannot drink coffee without spilling it on myself. This is x2 if I am wearing a white shirt. The blueberry is just a bonus. xoxo, Maxine Posted by: Maxine at September 8, 2006 04:00 PM On the positive side... you write eloquently. :) Posted by: LisaInCT at September 9, 2006 05:08 AM you could always tell him you were saving some for later... As an organizer of the conference, Digital ID World is always a whirlwind experience for me, but I find that as I look back Posted by: Johanson at September 19, 2006 10:08 PM |
