Yeah, See...
October 18, 2006

This is why... *sigh*

I ran to The Grocery Store on my way home today. And in all of my folly I couldn't help myself but explore the maze of hay bales and pumpkins. I just adore fall.

It was blustery today, clouds... blowing leaves. It was all like a Norman Rockwell painting with me meandering through the Autumnal colors as my hair was blowing in the wind.

And then...

And then I stepped wrong and lost my balance and ended up taking a header on a hay bale. Face down - me - pile o' pumkins. I did manage to get my hands out to prevent a total face plant, but I freaking fell in front of The Grocery Store.

Good times.

Wow... I tripped over my own foot and dropped a tray of steaks on my legs in the middle of the restaurant. I thin Wednesday is a bad day for accident prone people. We should get a day once a week where everyone follows us around and generally acts as guardian angels to keep us from hurting ourselves and others. My hubby tries to take care of me when he's around but he can't protect me at work and my boss is starting to realise the challenge he took on in me.

I do crazy stuff like that all the time. I am my greatest source of entertainment. I just laugh it off and go on.

Yeah, but are the pumpkins okay? ;)

My middle name a'int "Grace" for nothin'...

It's all about the recovery. You either laugh your a@@ off or daintily pick yourself up, brush off any debris and pretend like nothing happened.

Can I call you pumpkinhead now?

OMG, you make me laugh. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know that there's someone else out there that does stuff like that. If my friends have things like that happening to them, they're not talking, and I totally get the "I freaking fell in front of The Grocery Store"...lol...lol.

I fell on my face in the middle of a very fashionable street in Paris. Several police rushed over to help me up. I don't even know what I tripped on. I was hoping no one would see but I think thousands probably did.

hey, as long as you didn't sprain your ankle or something. i fainted for no reason in the italian deli last week. it happens.

Posted by: barbie2be at October 19, 2006 04:01 PM

Hey barbie2be! That happened to me too! Only I was 14 years old and I suddenly fainted in the middle of the hallway at school.....of course, at that age, that kind of thing is so massively embarrasing!

Perhaps we should stick to the word "Autumn" instead of "Fall" ?....

Just a thought ;)

Glad you are okay!

LOL @ SkippyMom

Isn't being clumsy just great? Seems like I'm not the only one who likes to trip and fall in front of an audience! Hope you didn't bruise or hurt anything in the process.

You poor thing. I do things like that especially when I see something delicious across the way. My mind is already there and my body just doesn't get there with grace.
