September 21, 2007
It's officially Fall. And I don't say that because of the crispness in the air or the changing leaves or the morning fog. I say that because I got pegged in the eye with a falling acorn.
This weekend is no exception - we've got a bride who's angry because she has to be under a tent - that was not "her dream", and she is making everyone miserable. But for gosh sake - it's September. And it's not even Labor Day Weekend - it is September 22 - one day short of the official start of Autumn. But there is no reasoning with her. She's determined to feel sorry for herself.

We were married ten years ago yesterday, it rained for the entire week before our wedding. People would ask me what I was going to do if it rained on our wedding day, I told them we were getting married on the family farm and if it indeed were raining our neighbors would bring their tractors and their tarps and we would be covered so to speak, no biggie really. Luckily we had a beautiful day, with exception of some really angry yellow jackets, but even with that for years afterwards we had people tell us what a lovely day it was and how much they enjoyed they enjoyed themselves, which was exactly what we wanted. Posted by: Toni at September 21, 2007 02:45 PM We will be married 23 years on Sept. 22. We had great weather, but then, we're in SoCal! Posted by: Sandee at September 21, 2007 05:16 PM I just found your blog, and I'm so happy I did! I was a Spring bride and can't say that I was ever pegged by an acorn (let alone in the eye), and yet I could totally relate to what you are saying! Keep on blogging!
