Things overheard at The Restaurant: "Oh no. Please take this way. There is so much food on this plate that I am starting to shake. Please hurry!" And 1/2 hour later... "We would actually like dessert. I want the pumpkin bread pudding. I am starving."
"Oh no... no no no shoes. Sorry. No shoes in the house." "But...this is the kitchen. We have hot liquids and knives." "No no no... no shoes in the house. And be careful. We just had the floors polished. They are a little slick." Posted by Foodwhore at October 29, 2008 07:56 PM
Hope the answer was no shoes no trick! Posted by: Pats at October 30, 2008 01:26 AM Cheese Whiz. I just don't know how you do it! *hugs* Posted by: Mona at October 30, 2008 07:07 AM No shoes in the kitchen? That would make me pack up and leave! It's not safe! or kind to your feet. Posted by: Rebecca at October 30, 2008 10:44 AM What is wrong with people? No shoes? Posted by: kitchen hand at October 30, 2008 07:31 PM I love your blog, but feel obliged to mention that many people do not allow shoes in the house for cultural/traditional reasons. That said, those folks definitely could have done *something* to help you work safely. Posted by: shoeless at October 30, 2008 08:16 PM It feels like kindergarten - do you "indoor" shoes? Posted by: BC at October 31, 2008 05:31 AM ...do you HAVE "indoor shoes? sigh. Posted by: BC at October 31, 2008 05:32 AM Not wearing shoes in what is at least temporarily the kitchen of people emplyed to cook could lead to serious problems with their insurance or the caterers. Posted by: ntsc at October 31, 2008 09:04 AM Way OT but the hubby and I were out at a local sportsd bar last night and there was a lady seated across from us ordering lemon drops.I have no idea who she was but I sent a few over to her in your honor. Posted by: Rhonda at November 1, 2008 02:35 PM No shoes in the kitchen is a health code violation where I live. You can't even wear open-toe choes in the kitchen. No shoes - No food. Posted by: sue.g at November 1, 2008 08:14 PM very nice blog site some how i found you looking for things on our sons birth defect esophageal atresia, i wish you all the best.
